Yoko has joined the ACTFR laboratory services unit in October 2007 to develop the LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) using Microsoft Access 2003.
Previously Yoko was employed at the University of Newcastle, NSW, in the School of Biological Sciences, at the ARC Centre of Excellence in Integrative Legumes.
Yoko has a Bachelors (with Honours) degree in food science and a Masters degree in Bio-Organic Chemistry from Tohoku University in Japan, and also has 4 years experience at the cutting edge of IT development as a Systems Engineer for Hitachi Tohoku Software.
