The International Cricket Council‘s U19 Cricket World Cup will be held in Townsville from Saturday 11 August to Sunday 26 August.

10 matches will be played at the Tony Ireland Stadium, along with two quarter-finals, two semi-finals and the final on Sunday 26 August, which will be televised live by ESPN Star Sports to an expected audience of 1 Billion people throughout the world.

The Under 19 World Cricket Cup will feature 16 International Teams.

In addition to Tony Ireland Stadium matches will be played at Endeavour Park at the Murray Sporting Precinct.

Townsville will host matches for 2 pools of teams including Australia, England and India as well Nepal Ireland and Papua New Guinea.

ESPN will be televising some pool matches and the finals.

Entry to matches is free so we would love to see plenty of people in attendance.
