Description |
This attractive mushroom stands up to 15 cm above ground level. Cap to 9 cm diameter, initially convex and umbonate at centre, later flattens; buff-coloured with yellowish tinge and brown irregularly scattered brownish scales, darkest near the centre. Gills free, pale yellowish-green darkening with age, spore print olive-green. Stem to 13 cm long, 0.9 cm wide, darkens quickly when cut or bruised, double ring collar-like present. Poisonous. |
