Description
This insectivorous bat is distinguished by its large lobed lips formed by the loose skin between the ear and the corner of the mouth. The body fur is brown contrasting with the black fur on the head and shoulders, the belly is a lighter brown. It has a short muzzle and broad ears. It is widespread and may be observed under street lights catching flying and crawling insects. It roosts in tree hollows and in buildings
