Description

This large woody climber produces a red exudate when the stem is broken. Leaves are alternate, compound with 5-9 leaflets, each blade 4-11 cm long, stalk of terminal leaflet much longer than the laterals. Flowers are borne in pendulous sprays, corolla dark red, standard to 9 mm long. Pod is brown, flat and papery to 10 cm long.
