Description

This tree has thick leathery leaves to 13 cm long and 4.5 cm wide, the lateral veins loop well inside the margin. Flowers in pairs in a pendulous inflorescence, perianth/tepals 4 white to cream with rusty hairs at the apex. Fruit is somewhat fleshy, indehiscent with a distinct groove down one side, red to dark purple to 3.5 cm diameter.
