Description
This thallose liverwort (a bryophyte) is commonly seen growing in bare patches in lawns during the wet season. Each plant forms a more or less circular patch flat on the ground. The thallus or plant body, branches dichotomously so that each arm forms two branches which are ribbon-like. Hair-like rhizoids are present on the lower surface. Male and female reproductive organs are embedded in the tissue.
