Writing Skills workshops
Half day writing course 9 March
Being able to write well-structured essays in an academic writing style is an essential skill at University. This course is designed to revise some of the skills needed to write an essay with the emphasis on the basic structuring of an essay.
Topics include autonomous learning, understanding the essay question, searching databases and organising your research, the writing process, critical reading, writing and note-taking, referencing, using academic language and strategies for editing your own work.
The course is offered on Saturday 9 March 2013 from 9:00am to 1:00pm in Sir George Kneipp Auditorium (Building 26).
The cost of the course is $10.00 ($5.00 for Health Care Card holders) and application forms are available from the Learning Centre on the Library ground floor.
