Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) Resources

The Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) initiative assesses research quality within Australia's higher education institutions using a combination of indicators and expert review by committees comprising experienced, internationally-recognised experts.

The 2010 results are available in the ERA 2010 National Report.

The Minister for Innovation, Industry, Science and Research, the Hon Senator Kim Carr, announced on 25 October 2010 that the next round of ERA is scheduled for 2012.

The following links provide information about how to use resources to obtain bibliometric measures such as journal impact factors and citation analysis. They also address frequently asked questions including:

  • How many times have my publications been cited?
  • Is the journal in which I am publishing a quality journal?
