Subject materials and media

You can make a wide range of content available to your students in LearnJCU including documents, web links, and rich media. LearnJCU and related services such as Reserve Online provide an easy way to organise your materials and make them selectively available to students as required.
You can use folders to structure and organize your LearnJCU site to make it easy for students to find and navigate through your subject materials.

Content typically added to LearnJCU includes documents such as Word, PDF or PowerPoint slides; and links to web sites you have produced or external sites
Reserve Online is JCU's central repository for digitised readings and past exam papers and includes publication and metadata information for these and for any streamed digital media.
Digital audio recordings of lectures or other informational items can be made available using the Podcast LX tool in LearnJCU.
The digital media service provides an easy way to deliver on-demand multimedia content (such as video, audio, music, and slideshows with embedded audio and video) through LearnJCU.
The Adaptive Release function allows teaching staff to control availability of content using criteria to provide/deny access to subject resources such as lecture materials, quizzes and discussion board forums.
The Review Status feature allows students to indicate whether they have reviewed a content item.
The glossary tool in LearnJCU allows teaching staff to create a subject-specific list of terms and definitions.
