Pathway College

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the James Cook University (JCU) Pathway College.

The JCU Pathway College is a unique and dynamic collaboration between JCU, the Tropical North Queensland Institute of TAFE (TNQIT) in Cairns, and the Barrier Reef Institute of TAFE (BRIT) in Townsville.

It aims to provide you with a clear pathway to tertiary study in tropical Queensland, through innovative programs and courses designed to support you through your journey to further studies for your chosen career.

The JCU Pathway College currently offers programs in three main areas:

  • English Language Programs to suit students seeking academic or general English language proficiency or tailor-made programs to suit international study groups;

  • A variety of TAFE certificates and diplomas (commencing 2013) for students who wish to complete a TAFE qualification and receive credit to enter into a JCU undergraduate degree.

Whether you are looking to get into university but didn't get the required entrance score you needed, have only completed Year 11, or are a mature age student looking to return to study, we have a wide range of options to get you on the right path.

I hope you will consider studying with us at JCU Pathway College.

Director, JCU Pathway College
