Accommodation Scholarship in Arts, Education and Social Sciences
The Faculty of Arts, Education and Social Sciences introduced the Accommodation Scholarship in 2006 in order to reduce the burden of accommodation and living expenses for a student wishing to commence study with the Faculty. The successful applicant is expected to make a positive contribution to the community of the nominated residential college and demonstrate why they wish to stay in university accommodation.
Please ensure to read the scholarship details prior to downloading the application form.
Nature of the Scholarship
There will be one scholarship awarded each year. The scholarship will contribute to the cost of a full year of accommodation and meals at any one of the on-campus accommodation residences in Townsville or at one of the student residences in Cairns (i.e. Oyster Court or Campus Lodge) to the maximum value of $8,500.
-
The successful applicant will be able to choose the particular college and style of accommodation. If a self catering option is chosen by the student the Faculty will pay the accommodation plus up to the equivalent value of $8,500.
-
Funds for the accommodation will be paid directly to the student residence each semester.
If the recipient elects to leave the residential college after the first semester the scholarship will lapse.
